  37. I am using Logicode Quicktell 28.8, Model 2814XV and I am using the
  38. following init. string:
  39.                      AT&F1&C1&D4X0
  40.  
  41. You may want to try adding the following commands:
  42.  
  43.     &V = displays the active and stored settings
  44.     &W =  saves the active settings in the modem's  NVRAM
  45.  
  46. There are a lot of other commands.  Consult your manual.
